Policies
We aim to keep things clear and fair so your event planning is stress‑free. By booking with Dream Decor, you agree to the following policies.
Service Area: Bergen, Hudson, Essex & Passaic Counties of North Jersey.
1) Booking Window
- We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice for standard events.
- Events requested inside 14 days are considered a rush booking and may incur a rush fee (typically 10–20%), subject to availability.
2) Deposits & Payments
- A 25% non‑refundable deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit is applied to your final balance.
- Remaining balance is due 5 business days before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payments: major cards, Zelle, ACH/bank transfer. Receipts are provided for all payments.
3) Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: deposit retained; any additional payments are refunded.
- Cancellations within 14 days: up to 50% of the quoted total may be due to cover materials and scheduling.
- One reschedule is allowed (subject to availability) with at least 7 days’ notice; deposit transfers to the new date.
4) Venue Access & Setup
- Client is responsible for confirming venue access, load‑in details, and permits (if any).
- Standard setup time is 1–3 hours depending on scope; teardown occurs immediately after the event unless otherwise arranged.
5) Rentals & Damages
- All rental items (backdrops, arches, linens, props) remain Dream Decor property.
- Client assumes responsibility for lost/damaged items at replacement cost.
- Unreturned items may incur a daily late fee.
6) Design Changes
- Minor adjustments are welcome up to 5 days before the event.
- Major scope changes (theme, venue, large guest count changes) may affect pricing and timelines.
7) Weather & Safety
- For outdoor events, Client is responsible for contingency plans (tents/indoor backup).
- We reserve the right to adapt or remove installations that pose safety risks due to weather or venue restrictions.
8) Photography & Marketing
- Unless you opt out in writing, Client grants Dream Decor permission to photograph completed setups for portfolio and marketing use.
- We’re happy to accommodate privacy requests—just let us know in advance.
9) Liability
- Dream Decor is insured; proof provided upon request.
- We are not liable for venue limitations, third‑party vendor issues, or circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, force majeure).
